This website ( oxfordcomma.digital) is operated by Oxford Comma Digital Ltd(“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as Oxford Comma Digital. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

The personal data we collect

We only collect what we need for the things you ask us to do.

• GEO whitepaper download — when you request the whitepaper we collect your name, work email address and company.
• Câret waitlist — when you join the waitlist we collect your email address.
• Enquiries — if you email us, we process the contact details and anything else you choose to include in your message.
• Technical data— when you submit a form we record limited technical information (such as your browser’s user-agent string and the page you came from) to help us prevent abuse and understand where requests originate.

We do not knowingly collect special category data, and our forms are not intended for anyone under 16.

How and why we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• deliver the whitepaper or waitlist place you asked for;
• respond to your enquiries;
• where relevant, contact you about Oxford Comma Digital services or content that follows on from your request;
• keep our services secure and prevent misuse.

Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interests in responding to you and in marketing our services to business contacts in a way that is proportionate and that you can object to at any time. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe option.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. When you complete the whitepaper form we set a single functional cookie that grants access to the download — it stores no personal data and is not used for tracking. We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run our infrastructure, acting as our processors under contract:

• Supabase — database hosting, where form submissions are stored (data held in the EU).
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of this website.

We may also disclose data where we are required to by law. Where any provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, and no longer than needed. You can ask us to delete your data at any time and we will do so unless we are required to retain it by law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• restrict or object to how we use your data;
• data portability;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
